SUPPORT FOR WOMEN TO BUILD ON BUSINESS

Sapotim Meri Kirapim Bisnis (support women to build on business) speaks for itself in many ways to one.
why? because in other words we could simply say "you educate a woman, you educate a nation"
given the much needed resources women in PNG jump to the chance to realise their economic potentials. where they have the capacity, the opportunity and the skills to earn an income, women not only raise not only the quality of their lives but the lives of those around them.

the ripple effect goes beyond the immediate family and into the community and this is especially so when women have an equal say with their male partners about how to spend the family income.

the government has shown much support and through this has viewed this through the Vision 2050 as a key area of development for the benefit of PNG and its future generations to come; as well as the private sector which has shown much commitment through sponsorship for the women in business expo currently held in Lae City, Morobe Province, PNG.

Women in Business president Janet Sape said that once women are empowered financially only then will PNG change for the better.

she said that PNG Women in Business was taking the lead to establish strong and sustainable training and upskilling programmes for women all over the country adn that it was during the expo that women were given the chance to display their produce, in turn displaying their true potentital to claim their place in business and society as an equal.
